The Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) today celebrated a major political shift as Hon. Moshood Kamal Okunola, the former 2023 ADP House of Representatives candidate for the Iwo-Olaoluwa Federal Constituency and the Seriki Musulumi of Iwoland, officially joined the APC, bringing thousands of his supporters with him.
Osun APC Chairman Sooko Lawal Tajudeen Olaniyi, alongside other APC stalwarts from the constituency, formally welcomed Hon. Okunola and expressed deep appreciation for his decision to join Africa’s largest political party. “This is a historic day for the APC,” remarked Sooko Lawal, underscoring the excitement and unity that the occasion brought to Iwoland.
The town was alive with celebration as community members rejoiced in welcoming back one of their most respected leaders, whose dedication to local development has left an enduring legacy.
In his address, Sooko Lawal conveyed goodwill messages from key party leaders, including Baba Bisi Akande and His Excellency Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy.
Sooko Lawal emphasized the importance of unity, harmony, and mutual respect within the APC and encouraged all new members to fully integrate into the APC family, fostering collaboration with existing members to strengthen party bonds.
