The former Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Industry, and Empowerment in Osun State, Dr. Bode Olaonipekun, has extended his warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Osun State, Nigeria, and globally on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1447.

In a statement issued from his media office and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, Dr. Olaonipekun described the Hijrah as a significant moment for deep reflection, spiritual renewal, and renewed commitment to faith, unity, and peace. He encouraged Muslims to utilize the new Islamic year to strengthen their relationship with Allah, embracing the virtues of patience, sacrifice, and perseverance exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) during his historic migration.

The former commissioner urged Muslims to remain steadfast in their prayers for Nigeria's progress and stability, upholding moral values, love, and peaceful coexistence. He emphasized that the Hijrah represents a renewal of purpose and values, not just a change in calendar.

Dr. Olaonipekun prayed for Allah's blessings, including strength to overcome challenges, wisdom to make sound decisions, and good health, peace, and success for all believers throughout Hijrah 1447. He also encouraged Muslim youth to focus on nation-building through education, enterprise, and spiritual growth.
