Eid al-Adha: Dr. Abiola Oshodi Extends Warm Congratulations to Muslim Faithful Across Nigeria

A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency of Ondo State and well-respected philanthropist, Dr. Abiola Oshodi, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and beyond as they celebrate Eid al-Adha, also known as Eid-il-Kabir, one of the most significant festivals in the Islamic calendar.

In a statement personally signed and made available to newsmen in Owo, Dr. Oshodi described the celebration as a powerful symbol of faith, obedience, and sacrifice, reflecting the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command.

“Eid al-Adha is not just a festival of feasting and celebration—it is a profound reminder of the virtues of devotion, selflessness, and unwavering submission to the will of God. These are values that are essential not only in religious life but in the building of a peaceful and progressive society,” he said.

Dr. Oshodi commended the resilience, faith, and contributions of Nigerian Muslims to the nation’s development, urging them to use the opportunity of the season to pray for unity, peace, and economic prosperity in Nigeria. He also emphasized the need for continued coexistence and mutual respect among people of all religions and backgrounds.

“As we mark this sacred occasion, I call on all Nigerians, regardless of religious affiliation, to imbibe the spirit of love, sacrifice, and compassion for one another. Let us come together in our shared commitment to a better Nigeria,” he stated.

Dr. Oshodi also used the opportunity to commend Islamic leaders for their efforts in promoting religious tolerance and guiding the faithful toward righteous living, especially in a time when moral values and national cohesion are more important than ever.

He concluded by wishing all Muslims a joyous, safe, and spiritually fulfilling Eid celebration, urging them to remember the less privileged in their festivities by extending generosity and goodwill.

“Eid Mubarak to all our Muslim brothers and sisters. May this season bring peace to our homes, progress to our communities, and blessings to our nation.”
