The APC Committee of Diaspora Chairmen (APCCDC), under the leadership of Hon. Tunde Doherty, has called on Nigerians to register for their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) as the voter registration exercise commenced on Monday, August 18, 2025.
In a press release issued by the Secretary of the APCCDC and Chairman of the APC Spain Chapter, Amb. Prince Adeayo Tella, the committee urged all eligible Nigerians—particularly those who have recently turned 18 and are yet to register—to take advantage of the opportunity to obtain their PVCs.
He emphasized that voter registration is essential for citizens to exercise their democratic rights in choosing leaders at all levels. “The power to elect our leaders lies in our hands, and the PVC is the key to that power,” he stated.
Amb. Tella also revealed that following a recent global general meeting, the APCCDC has instructed its members across the Diaspora to liaise with their respective states in Nigeria to help mobilize and encourage eligible citizens to participate in the registration process.
The committee commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its continued commitment to ensuring free, fair, and credible elections in the country.
