Zambian authorities and child protection agencies have launched a full investigation into a deeply disturbing case involving a 65-year-old man who is alleged to have sexually abused and impregnated his 14-year-old twin daughters. The incident, which recently surfaced on social media, has sparked nationwide outrage and renewed calls for stronger child protection measures across the country.
According to reports circulating online, the accused and his two teenage daughters have been living in an unfinished building in dire poverty, raising concerns about the vulnerable conditions that may have enabled the abuse to go unnoticed for an extended period. The lack of stable shelter, basic amenities, and access to social services has brought renewed scrutiny to the living conditions of marginalized families in Zambia.
The Ministry of Community Development and Social Services, in collaboration with the Zambia Police Service and the Department of Child Welfare, has confirmed that investigations are currently underway. The teenage victims have been placed under temporary protective custody and are receiving medical care, counseling, and social support as the case progresses.
