Utah man, Tyler Robinson, 22, has been identified as the suspect in the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Authorities in Utah confirmed Robinson's arrest on Friday, September 12, 2025.
According to authorities, Robinson was turned in to police by family members.
Multiple news outlets reported that Robinson's father, who is a veteran law enforcement officer, recognized his son from photos released by authorities and encouraged him to surrender.
Robinson was taken into custody in St. George, Utah, on the evening of September 11.
Kirk was shot and killed while speaking at a "Prove Me Wrong" debate at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, September 10.
