Hypnotist Gang: If Someone Asks For Direction Don't Let Them Touch You, Don't Enter Their Car—Police

SP Bright Edafe, the spokesperson of Delta State Police Command, has stated that members of the public must be very careful when approached by strangers asking for directions. He gave this warning after seven people who specialised in hypnotising and robbing victims under such pretence were recently arrested.

In a video shared by Punch on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, Edafe said these criminals act like they are lost and asking for directions, then they hypnotize and rob anyone who approaches them to give directions.
Edafe advised members of the public to keep a safe distance when giving strangers directions. He said they should not allow such strangers to touch them and they should not enter the cars of such strangers
In Edafe's words: "We all should be careful because these people are out there trying to do all these things. You don't have to follow them anywhere, don't allow them touch you. If somebody asks you for direction I am not saying you should not be a nice and concerned Nigerian. Give them direction and let them go but don't let them come to you and don't let them touch you. And on no account should you enter their car for any reason"
