Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, on Wednesday, pledged that Saudi Arabia would fully support Qatar in response to Israel’s recent attack.
He declared the Kingdom’s readiness to assist in any actions taken by Doha as part of a broader Arab, Islamic, and international effort to confront the assault.
Addressing the Shura Council, the Crown Prince declared that the Kingdom “will stand with the sister state of Qatar in whatever measures it takes, without limit, dedicating all our resources.”
He condemned Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza, accusing it of committing crimes of starvation and forced displacement against Palestinians.
“Therefore, we also condemn the continued brutal assault on our Palestinian brothers in Gaza and the ongoing crimes of starvation and forced displacement,” he said, delivering the message on behalf of King Salman, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
Beyond the sharp rebuke of Israel, the Crown Prince emphasised the Kingdom’s progress under Vision 2030, noting that non-oil activities now account for 56 percent of Saudi Arabia’s GDP exceeding 4.5 trillion riyals for the first time.
He pointed to major achievements in infrastructure, artificial intelligence partnerships, and the localization of the military industry, which has grown from 2 percent to more than 19 percent.
He also stressed the importance of economic diversification, job creation, and social reforms, citing falling unemployment and growing women’s participation in the labor market. However, he acknowledged challenges such as rising housing costs, pledging continued government efforts to improve citizens’ quality of life.
The Crown Prince concluded by reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s founding principles rooted in Islamic law, justice, and service to the Two Holy Mosques, emphasizing that the Kingdom’s growing global role rests on both its moral commitments and economic transformation.
