The Anti-Cultism Unit of the Command arrested six suspected cult members after a vi0lent clash at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree on September 8.
It was learnt that the confrontation, between members of the Buccaneers confraternity and rival groups, involved gùnfire that left two students injured.
Three suspects — Oluwadamilare Temitope (23), Ayodeji John (24), and Adepoju Adesoji (27) — were arrested at the scene, while another operation on September 9 led to the arrest of three more suspects: Yusuf Abeeb (24), Fatai Quadri (24), and Lateef Abiodun (23).
The Police Command said investigations are ongoing and all suspects will be charged in court upon conclusion.
