The Nollywood industry is mourning alongside veteran actress Peju Ogunmola, who has suffered the devastating loss of her only son, Ayomikun Omobolanle. Known affectionately as “Shina,” Ayomikun’s untimely passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and fans.

Ayomikun had recently completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), a milestone that his mother celebrated with immense pride. His completion of the program marked the beginning of what was meant to be a promising future.

Beyond his academic achievements, Ayomikun was nurturing a budding music career. He had begun releasing songs shortly before his passing, offering a glimpse into a creative side that many were only beginning to discover.

Ayomikun reportedly lost his life in a tragic bathroom accident at home. According to reports, he slipped and sustained fatal injuries. The suddenness of the incident has left his loved ones and the Nollywood community in deep shock and sorrow.
4. A Deep and Unbreakable Bond with His Mother
Peju Ogunmola often referred to her son as “My Happiness,” reflecting the special closeness they shared. Colleagues and fans have since described their bond as one of love, joy, and companionship—an irreplaceable connection now lost.
5. He Came from a Celebrated Acting Legacy
Ayomikun was the only child born to Peju Ogunmola and legendary actor and comedian Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as Pa Aluwe. He was a part of one of Nollywood’s most respected families, representing the next generation in a long line of artistic excellence.
