The Centre for Al-Sunnah of Nigeria has officially commissioned the Alhaja Mardhiyyah Aweni and Her Children Mosque No. 1, located near the Oke-Baale Police Station in Osogbo, Osun State.
The commissioning ceremony, held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, brought together community leaders, Islamic scholars, and residents who gathered to celebrate the establishment of the new mosque.
According to the founder of the Centre for Al-Sunnah Society, Dr. Fadl Nurudeen, said the mosque’s construction was made possible through the generous contribution of the society, who dedicated the project to the service of Allah and the spiritual growth of the local Muslim community.
The new mosque is expected to serve as a centre for daily prayers, Islamic education, and community development activities in the Oke-Baale area.
The DPO of Oke-Baale Police Station, Csp David expressed gratitude to the donors and the Centre for Al-Sunnah for their commitment to promoting Islamic values and supporting the spiritual needs of Muslims in Osogbo.
Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe was honoured with an award of excellence in community development and supportive community leader to the society.
