The Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, has praised the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, for his continued commitment to the progress and cultural advancement of Osogboland.
The monarch gave the commendation on Tuesday at his palace after receiving a state-of-the-art sound system donated by Senator Basiru. The equipment, presented on behalf of the APC scribe by Hon. Olayiwola Taofeek and Hon. Adebayo Olalekan, is intended to enhance cultural events, religious activities, and civic functions across the community.
The premium sound system—featuring high-definition speakers, professional mixing consoles, and portable amplification units—will be managed by the palace’s cultural affairs office.
Ataoja lauded Senator Basiru’s broader developmental initiatives, emphasizing that the gesture reflects his sustained investment in cultural infrastructure that promotes social cohesion and economic growth.
“SRJ is my heir apparent, and he has been investing in cultural infrastructure that encourages unity and economic progress. He remains one of the key support mechanisms for Osogbo and continues to give his best to the town’s development,” the monarch said.
