Dr. Bode Olaonipekun has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Famoodun family, the Gbeleru I Royal Family, the entire Omo Owa, Igbajo town and the entire All Progressives Congress (APC ) over the passing of Oba Philip Adegboyega Famodun III, who joined his ancestors on the 28th of November, 2025.
In a personally signed condolence message, Dr. Olaonipekun described the late monarch as a unifying leader, a promoter of positive change, and a remarkable achiever whose influence was felt across Igbajo and Osun State at large.
He recalled that Oba Famodun, who once served as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Osun, made significant contributions to both the party and governance, leaving a legacy that will continue to resonate for years to come.
Dr. Olaonipekun further noted that the revered monarch, who passed away at the age of 67, had an outstanding public service record—having served as Chairman of Boripe Local Government, Secretary of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, and later Chairman of the party before ascending the throne of his forefathers, a position he held with honour until his final moment.
He said, “I will personally miss his mentorship and fatherly guidance both politically and traditionally. He has impacted my career in no small dimensions”.
He prayed that Almighty God grants us all the strength and fortitude to bear this profound and irreplaceable loss.
