The Executive Chairman of Obokun Local Government, Engr. Maaroof Kayode Ogundipe, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of a respected community elder and prominent APC chieftain, Pa Samuel Ogunbiyi Omogboye (Baba Orikogbo) who until his death served as the Chairman of Ward 10 as well as Chairman of Ward Chairmen in Obokun Local Government
In a heartfelt condolence message, Engr. Ogundipe described Pa Omogboye’s demise as a monumental loss not only to the All Progressives Congress (APC) family in Obokun but to the entire local government area. He noted that the late political leader was a pillar of unity, wisdom, and steadfast commitment whose contributions to grassroots mobilization and party cohesion remain unparalleled.
According to the Executive Chairman, Pa Omogboye was an exemplary leader whose long years of service were marked by dedication, discipline, and unwavering loyalty to the progressive ideals. He added that the deceased’s leadership as Chairman of Ward Chairmen strengthened the party structure across the 10 wards in Obokun, making him a reference point for organisational excellence and community engagement.
Engr. Ogundipe further stated that Pa Omogboye’s passing creates a deep vacuum that will be difficult to fill, stressing that the late elder statesman lived a purposeful life anchored on integrity, humility, and service to humanity.
