According to a report by DAILY TRUST on Thursday 20th November 2025, Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to be removed from the courtroom due to his disruptive conduct ahead of a scheduled judgment on Thursday.
Justice James Omotosho, presiding over the matter, dismissed three fresh motions filed by Kanu after the case had been adjourned for judgment, describing them as unmeritorious; The judge further ruled that, given Kanu’s “unruly and violent behaviour,” the main judgment could be delivered in his absence.
Tensions escalated earlier in the session when Kanu objected to the court proceeding, arguing that he had not filed his final written address; Raising his voice, he accused the judge of bias and questioned the application of the law in the proceedings.
Despite Kanu’s protests, Justice Omotosho proceeded to deliver the ruling as scheduled. The details of the judgment are expected to be released shortly.
