In recent times, armed terrorists have invaded a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku town in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The incident raised concerns and tensions amongst residents as three casualties were recorded while several others were abducted by the assailants.
However, in the video posted by Channels Television, Ayodele Lawrence, a pastor at the Christ Apostolic Church CAC, has revealed the reason why the attack was being livestreamed despite its brutality.
He revealed that there was a Thanksgiving service ongoing in the church even before the terrorists made their way into the church premises; hence, the reason why the attacks were being livestreamed.
According to the video, "We were doing Thanksgiving service for the eighteen people that were kidnapped three weeks ago, and all of them were rescued."
