Actor Rasak Ajani, popularly known as Wazo, has shared how Funke Akindele once played a big role in his life during his toughest moments.
He said there was a time he had nothing—no job, no food, and no support. During that period, Funke stood by him. She would give him food and even support him with money for 3 months, encouraging him not to give up on his dreams.
With time, Wazo developed feelings for her and asked her out, but Funke politely refused. She told him her kindness was not because of romance, but because she believed in his talent.
Wazo said he felt bad then, but today he understands. Funke has always known where she was going. She was focused, disciplined and had a clear vision.
He ended by saying he holds no grudges, only respect and gratitude.
“Funke helped me when no one else did. I will forever be grateful to her,” he said.
