The Otun Babaloja of Sasa Market, Osogbo, Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Adeniran Tella on his recent appointment and confirmation by the Nigerian Senate as a Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a congratulatory statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo, Alhaji Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe described Prof. Tella’s appointment as “a round peg in a round hole,” noting that his wealth of experience, integrity, and proven commitment to public service make him exceptionally suited for the vital national assignment.
Alhaji Kamarudeen lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognizing and appointing a competent and credible professional such as Prof. Tella to the INEC leadership cadre. He also commended all stakeholders, both at the federal and state levels, who played supportive roles in the nomination and confirmation process.
He stated, “Prof. Adeniran Tella’s appointment is a testament to his years of dedication, excellence, and commitment to the Nigerian project. His deep understanding of governance and his unwavering integrity will no doubt strengthen the credibility and efficiency of the electoral process in Nigeria.”
