The Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has reacted to a new letter issued by the Fusengbuwa Ruling House of Ijebu-Ode formally disowning Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, over his claim to the Awujale throne.
Onanuga who revealed that he is from Ijebu Ode town in Ogun State wrote in a caption to the attached image of the release on X on Thursday, “Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Ijebu Ode, my home town rejects Wasiu Anifowose a.k.a KWAM 1’s claim to the Awujale throne.”
The statement Onanuga referred to was contained in a letter dated 11 December 2025 and addressed to K1 De Ultimate.
In the letter, the ruling house confirmed receiving a completed family particulars and linkage form submitted by the musician, but said the form was “presigned” and invalid.
The ruling house stated that the form was certified by “a purported family unit head,” identified as Omoba Adetayo Abayomi Oduneye Eruobodo, two days before the musician signed it. It added that the form was not signed by the authorised family head, rendering it invalid.
The letter further declared that Eruobodo “is not a registered member of the Jadiara Royal House and therefore, has no locus standi to sign any linkage form on behalf of the family,” adding that extensive investigations “has not revealed any proof of your membership of the Jadiara Royal House or indeed that of Fusengbuwa Ruling House.”
The committee therefore ruled the completed form “null, void and of no consequence,” stressing that the musician’s claim to the Fusengbuwa lineage was rejected.

Yusuf; General Secretary, Pastor Prince Bola Salami; Head of Jadiara Royal House, Otunba Akinola Odedina; and Co-Head of Jadiara Royal House, Alh. Adebisi Quadri.

Tribune Online reports that the spokesperson of Fusengbuwa Nomination Committee, Abiodun Ogidan, during a briefing on Thursday, said the musician’s lineage claim was unfounded.
Ogidan noted, “We just rose from the family meeting where all the Olori Ebi, the family heads of the Jadiara and Fusengbuwa families.
“And it has been confirmed by our family that from all that he (Wasiu Ayinde) has written in the family lineage data form given to him, that he is definitely not one of us in the Fusengbuwa ruling house.
“And let it be noted that Awujale nomination forms were not given to him; the Awujale form had closed by the time he began to claim that he’s from the Fusengbuwa family.”
He questioned the musician’s sudden claim to the royal lineage.
Ogidan added, “How can someone who has never been part of our family meetings or supported the family in any way now suddenly wake up at the height of the glory of our family and begin to say what never happened?
“Wasiu Ayinde is only trying to rewrite history, but this is 2025; he can’t pull the wool over our eyes. He is not part of us, and people with fake lineage won’t be part of what we are doing here.”
