The Executive Director of Akol Groups, prominent member of immediate past Osun First Lady's Entourage and wife of an APC leader in Osun State , Mrs Grace Olusola Olamiju, popularly known as Iya Akol, has congratulated Dr (Mrs) Shekinah Bola Oyebamiji on her emergence as the President of Osun State Women Doctors.
In a congratulatory message, Mrs Olamiju joined friends, colleagues and well-wishers in celebrating the wife of the Osun All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate, describing her victory as well deserved and timely.
She praised Dr (Mrs) Shekinah Bola Oyebamiji as a vibrant woman of integrity, capacity and proven leadership, expressing confidence in her ability to deliver on the mandate entrusted to her by the association of women doctors in the state.
Mrs Olamiju recalled that she had the opportunity to relate closely with Dr (Mrs) Oyebamiji as Colleague Commissioners' Wives during their period of service under the former First Lady of Osun State, Mrs Kafayat Olaitan Oyetola.
According to her, this experience further strengthened her belief in Dr Shekinah’s competence, humility and commitment to service.
She therefore assured members of the Osun State Women Doctors Association that their new president would not disappoint them, noting that her leadership would bring unity, progress and renewed purpose to the association.
In her concluding remarks, Mrs Olamiju wished Dr (Mrs) Shekinah Bola Oyebamiji a successful and impactful tenure, adding that her victory is also a positive sign and encouragement for her husband, the APC governorship candidate, ahead of the forthcoming Osun State governorship election in August, 2026
“On behalf of my humble family, I wish you success in your service to God and humanity,” Mrs Olamiju said.
