A prominent community leader in Ifetedo, Ife South Local Government Area, and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Najeem Oyewumi, has expressed strong confidence in the leadership capacity of Asiwaju Bola Munirudeen Oyebamiji, describing him as the right candidate to steer Osun State toward sustainable growth and development ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
Hon. Oyewumi made this assertion while addressing members of the press, following the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji as the APC flagbearer for the forthcoming governorship election. According to him, the choice of Oyebamiji represents hope, stability, and progress for the people of Osun State.
He stated that Osun State would be in safe and capable hands under the leadership of Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, whom he described as “a round peg in a round hole,” citing his vast experience across both the private and public sectors. Hon. Oyewumi emphasized that Oyebamiji’s track record of service, administrative competence, and people-centered approach to governance distinguish him as a leader prepared to address the socio-economic needs of the state.
The APC chieftain further called on residents of Osun State to rally behind the party’s candidate, stressing that collective support would pave the way for effective governance, inclusive development, and the delivery of meaningful dividends of democracy.
“By supporting Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji in the 2026 governorship election, the people of Osun State are choosing experience, integrity, and a future driven by purposeful leadership,” Hon. Oyewumi concluded.
