Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a fresh political prophecy, declaring that the All Progressives Congress (APC) under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu risks facing a major setback in Osun State if the party fails to choose Senator Iyiola Omisore as its governorship candidate.
Speaking during a media briefing on Friday, Ayodele said his message was not about predicting the eventual winner of the election, but a clear spiritual warning to the ruling party; According to him, the APC’s success in Osun depends heavily on “making the right choice” in its candidate selection.
He stressed that Omisore remains the party’s “strongest and most marketable option,” noting that any attempt to overlook him would lead to electoral disappointment for the party in the state.
“I am not talking about who will win,” Ayodele emphasized.
“But APC under President Tinubu will fail in Osun if they don’t pick Iyiola Omisore as their candidate; He is the only candidate that can give the APC a strong fight; If they ignore him, they will face a major loss.”
Ayodele, urged the APC to evaluate the political realities on ground rather than relying solely on federal influence or internal power arrangements.
He added that choosing another candidate could complicate the party’s internal structure in Osun, deepen factional divisions, and ultimately weaken its chances at the polls.
