The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Switzerland Chapter, Dr. Adebayo Alfonso, Ph.D. has formally declared his unwavering support for the re-election of the National Secretary of the party, Senator Ajibola Basiru, Ph.D.
In a statement made available to journalists following a meeting held on Tuesday, Dr. Alfonso praised Senator Basiru’s exceptional leadership and administrative competence, describing him as “a round peg in a round hole.” He noted that since assuming office as the APC National Secretary, Senator Basiru has demonstrated remarkable dedication, professionalism, and strategic insight in repositioning the party for greater efficiency and success.
Dr. Alfonso highlighted the significant transformation and organizational progress recorded within the party under Senator Basiru’s stewardship. According to him, the National Secretary has played a pivotal role in strengthening internal structures, enhancing communication within party organs, and fostering unity across various chapters both within Nigeria and in the diaspora.
He further emphasized that continuity in leadership at this critical time is essential for consolidating the gains already achieved. “Senator Ajibola Basiru has proven his capacity to deliver. His track record speaks volumes, and it is only fitting that he be given the opportunity to continue the good work he has started,” Dr. Alfonso stated.
The APC Switzerland Chairman also called on party members, stakeholders, and supporters to rally behind Senator Basiru’s re-election bid, stressing that sustained progress and stability within the party depend on experienced and visionary leadership.
