A former member of the Osun State House of Assembly representing Osogbo State Constituency, Hon. Engr. Badamasi Taofeek Abolubode, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in his constituency and across Osun State on the joyous occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebration, marking the successful completion of the 30-day holy month of Ramadan.
In a detailed goodwill message released to commemorate the festival, Hon. Abolubode described Eid-el-Fitr as a period of deep spiritual reflection, gratitude to Almighty Allah, and renewed commitment to the values of sacrifice, discipline, compassion, and unity demonstrated throughout Ramadan.
He commended Muslims for their steadfastness, devotion, and adherence to the teachings of Islam during the fasting period, noting that such virtues are essential for fostering peace, harmony, and sustainable development within society.
“Eid-el-Fitr is not only a celebration but also a reminder of the importance of selflessness, tolerance, and collective responsibility. I urge all Muslims to sustain the lessons of Ramadan in their daily lives and continue to promote peaceful coexistence in our communities,” he stated.
Hon. Abolubode further called on the Muslim faithful and residents of Osogbo State Constituency to remain committed to the progress and development of Osun State by supporting credible leadership that prioritizes good governance, accountability, and people-oriented policies.
In this regard, he encouraged constituents to come out en masse to support and vote for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
According to him, such support would ensure continuity in developmental strides and bring about improved welfare for the people.
He emphasized that collective participation in the democratic process is vital to shaping a prosperous future for the state.
Hon. Abolubode concluded his message by wishing all Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration, praying that Allah accepts their عبادات (acts of worship), grants them abundant blessings, and brings lasting peace and prosperity to Osun State and Nigeria at large.
Eid Mubarak to all Muslim faithful.
