Prince Dr. Abdulrasheed Muideen Romeo, a leading 2027 aspirant for the House of Representatives in Osogbo Federal Constituency, on Friday joined Asiwaju Khamis Badmus, Engr. Olalekan Badmus, and other distinguished sons and daughters of Osogbo to observe the Eid-El-Fitri prayers at the Osogbo Praying Ground.
Prince Romeo, who is the Chairman of the Romeo Foundation, a renowned philanthropist, and a real estate mogul, joined hundreds of Muslim faithful, political leaders, traditional stakeholders, and prominent indigenes of Osogbo in celebrating the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Eid prayer session served as a solemn moment of gratitude to Almighty Allah, as well as an opportunity for collective prayers for peace, progress, unity, and sustained development in Osogbo, Osun State, and Nigeria as a whole. The gathering also offered a platform for community bonding among sons and daughters of Osogbo who remain committed to the growth and advancement of their hometown.
Speaking after the Eid prayer, Prince Romeo congratulated Muslims on witnessing another Eid-El-Fitri celebration and urged them to uphold the values of sacrifice, discipline, love, tolerance, and devotion imbibed during the Ramadan period. He stressed the importance of unity among the people and the need for continued prayers for leaders and the prosperity of Osogbo land.
In his words, “Eid teaches us that sacrifice, faith, and perseverance always lead to joy and fulfillment. As we celebrate today, let us renew our commitment to unity, service, and the collective progress of Osogbo. Our future will be brighter when we stand together in love, purpose, and genuine concern for the welfare of our people.”
He further noted that occasions such as Eid-El-Fitri remain vital in strengthening communal ties and fostering a shared sense of responsibility toward building a better society. He described Osogbo as a land blessed with illustrious sons and daughters whose collective efforts can continue to drive meaningful development and lasting progress.
