Olaitan Adeniyi, the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the 2026 election in Osun State, has called on Muslims to sustain the spiritual gains of Ramadan as the holy month draws to a close.
In a message marking the 30th day of Ramadan, Adeniyi prayed for the acceptance of believers’ عبادات (acts of worship), including fasting, prayers, and charitable deeds observed throughout the month. He emphasized the importance of seeking forgiveness and maintaining sincerity in worship.
“May Allah, in His infinite mercy, bring our journey in this blessed month to a beautiful and accepted completion,” he said, expressing hope that the faithful would emerge from Ramadan spiritually renewed and strengthened.
The SDP candidate also دعا for peace of heart, divine guidance, and continued blessings, urging Muslims to carry forward the discipline and devotion cultivated during Ramadan into their daily lives.
Adeniyi concluded his message with prayers for success, relief, and lasting happiness for all, adding that he hopes believers will be among those who are “purified, elevated, and abundantly rewarded in this life and in the Hereafter.”
Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is observed by Muslims worldwide as a period of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community.
