A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Obokun Local Government of Osun State, Hon. Adeyeye Adeyemi Akinson, has extended his warm congratulations to the newly appointed Director General of the Osun State APC Gubernatorial Campaign, Hon. Wole Oke, alongside the Senatorial Director Generals: Hon. Adebayo Adeleke Banik (Osun Central), Prince Dotun Babayemi (Osun West), and Hon. Thomas Ogungbangbe (Osun East). He also congratulates, Ijesa-North Federal Constituency Chairman: Nathaniel Agunbiade, Co-Chairman: Siji Olamiju and Secretary: Felix Aboge.
In his congratulatory message, Hon. Akinson described the appointments as well-deserved, noting that the individuals selected are seasoned political actors whose track records, dedication, and contributions to the progressive movement have positioned them as the right leaders for the task ahead. He emphasized that their wealth of experience in political mobilization, strategic campaigning, and electoral victories makes them “round pegs in round holes.”
He further commended the leadership of the party for making what he termed a “thoughtful and strategic decision” in assembling a formidable campaign team to lead the governorship bid of the APC candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, ahead of the August 15, 2026 gubernatorial election.
Hon. Akinson expressed strong confidence in the ability of the campaign team to deliver victory for the party, stating that their combined expertise and unity of purpose will play a critical role in securing success at the polls. He also extended his goodwill to the Federal Constituency Campaign Chairman and all members of the campaign structure, acknowledging their roles as vital to the overall success of the mission.
While wishing the appointees success in their new assignments, Hon. Akinson called on all party members, stakeholders, and the good people of Osun State to rally behind the campaign leadership and offer their unwavering support to ensure a resounding victory for the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, and his running mate, Aree Benjamin Kayode Adereti.
He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the ideals of the party and urged continued unity, cooperation, and dedication among party faithful as the election approaches.
