The Baale of Iludun in Osogbo Local Government Area of Osun State, Chief Afolabi Yusuf Keji, praised Ataoja of Osogboland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun for making some Baales kings. He said the move will boost growth and bring progress to the town.
According to Chief Afolabi, "The new administrative style and knowledgeable dimensions being introduced into the traditional system of the governance of traditional institution in Osogbo by His Imperial Majesty Oba Jimoh Abidemi Oyetunji Olanipekun, Larooye ll, the Ataoja of Osogboland in the upgrading of some Baale into the prestigious position as Oba is a welcome development and well applauded by all the good people of this ancient city. This is action in the right direction that will go a long way to contribute immensely to the overall development of metropolitan city of Osogbo".
"Also our highly revered and cherished monarch as the custodian of our heritage values to move forward with this well orchestrated progressive developmental initiatives that will put this ancient city ahead of other surrounding environs".
"All the newly installed royal fathers are therefore admonished to reciprocate this kind gesture magnanimously bestowed on them by proven their worth,unalloyed support and loyalty to His Imperial Majesty for the overall development of this ancient city".
Furthermore, "Since they are the 'ears'and 'eyes' of the Ataoja of Osogboland in their various towns they are implored to work tenaciously and harzedously for the realization of objectives for which the idea was muted out". the statement concluded.
