In a message marking the 2026 May Day celebration, Prince Bola Oyebowale, an Executive Board Member of the Osun State Internal Revenue Service (OIRS), has extended warm congratulations to workers across Osun State while urging them to rally behind Governor Ademola Adeleke in his quest for a second term in office.
Speaking with journalists in Osogbo on Friday, Oyebowale praised the resilience and dedication of the state’s workforce, describing them as the backbone of governance and development. He noted that May Day provides an opportunity not only to celebrate workers’ contributions but also to reflect on leadership that prioritizes their welfare.
Oyebowale commended Governor Adeleke for what he described as a consistent commitment to workers’ well-being since assuming office. According to him, the governor has demonstrated a worker-friendly approach through policies and initiatives aimed at improving conditions of service and ensuring timely attention to workers’ needs.
He emphasized that the progress recorded under the current administration should be sustained, urging civil servants and the broader workforce to show “massive support” for the governor in the upcoming August 15, 2026 governorship election.
“The governor has shown genuine concern for workers and has made meaningful contributions to their welfare,” Oyebowale said. “It is only fair for workers to reciprocate this goodwill by supporting his second-term ambition, so the state can continue to benefit from stable and people-oriented governance.”
He concluded by encouraging workers to remain steadfast in their duties while actively participating in the democratic process, stressing that their collective voice would play a crucial role in shaping the future of Osun State.
