A socio-political group in Osun State, IBO Concern Group, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory in the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.
The group commended all the returning officers across the 30 local governments, including the Modakeke Area Office, for their commitment, dedication, and professionalism during the exercise.
According to the group, the massive turnout of party members to demonstrate their support clearly showed the love, confidence, and trust they have in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and their desire for him to continue for a second term in office.
The group also issued a warning to Hon. Adegboyega Basheer Bello, who contested in the last Ifelodun, Boripe, and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency primary election. The group stated that it is prepared to institute a court case against Hon. Bello if he fails to reclaim what they described as the mandate freely given to him by the people during the party primary election.
The group stressed that it strongly believes in transparency, accountability, fairness, and a sense of belonging for every APC member. It added that if other primaries had been conducted with the same level of transparency and organization as that of President Tinubu, there would have been little or no protest or dissatisfaction among party members and aspirants.
IBO Concern Group further gave Hon. Adegboyega Basheer Bello is a seven-day ultimatum to respond to the group’s call or face legal action.
The group also appealed to supporters across Ifelodun, Boripe, and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency not to lose hope but to remain calm, peaceful, and committed to the APC, stressing that the party belongs to all members.
Furthermore, the group assured supporters that the struggle for fairness, justice, and inclusion continues, while calling on party faithful to unite and work towards the emergence of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebanji (AMBO) as the next Governor of Osun State.
The group assured supporters that their votes and unwavering support for Hon. Adegboyega Basheer Bello’s House of Representatives aspiration would not be in vain.
“Our commitment to the progressive family remains strong, and together, we shall continue to work for the growth and success of our party and our people,” the group concluded.
