Not the End, But a New Chapter — Barr. Abimbola Kazeem Amusan Appreciates Loyal Supporters

With profound gratitude, enduring stability, and a renewed vision for tomorrow- Barr. Abimbola Kazeem Amusan

To my political family, distinguished compatriots, passionate loyalists, party faithful, and every citizen standing with us in Irewole/Ayedaade/Isokan Federal Constituency:

I address you today with a heart filled with profound thankfulness and deep appreciation for the abundant solidarity, immeasurable sacrifices, and staunch confidence you demonstrated during the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election held on Saturday, 16 May 2026.

Your extraordinary mobilization, unyielding faith in our collective vision, and resolute dedication to a new frontier of development are both profoundly humbling and deeply inspiring. The overwhelming mandate of trust you freely demonstrated across the length and breadth of our constituency stands as an undeniable testament to our people’s shared yearning for purposeful governance, equity, and sustainable progress.

However, it is a matter of public record that the just-concluded exercise was marred by severe anomalies and widespread irregularities. These infractions have understandably generated deep concern, pain, and dissatisfaction among stakeholders, party stalwarts, and the vibrant support groups who invested their time and hopes into this process.

As a legal professional and a committed democrat, I hold the firm conviction that the rule of law, internal democracy, and institutional integrity must be the bedrock of our great Party. The systemic flaws witnessed during the primaries do not represent who we are as progressive party men and women. Therefore, it is imperative that these glaring irregularities are thoroughly reviewed and addressed by the leadership of the party through its established internal dispute resolution mechanisms. This is the only path to retrieving the dashed hopes of our members, restoring confidence in the party, and sustaining the fragile pillars of justice, fairness, and party cohesion.

In the light of this, I strongly appeal to all my passionate supporters, delegates, youth movements, women's wings, and loyalists across the length and breadth of Irewole/Ayedaade/Isokan Federal Constituency to remain calm, peaceful, law-abiding, and united. Let us allow the internal leadership organs of our party to navigate the ongoing consultations and handle the grievances arising from the exercise, including the dissatisfaction raised by individuals and groups with the outcome of the primary.

Moments like this test our character, but they must not break our spirit. True leadership demands restraint, wisdom, and strategic patience over division or hostility. Our ultimate focus must remain the collective advancement of our constituency and the preservation of democratic values.

I owe a debt of gratitude to every ward leader, political elder, volunteer, and well-wisher who stood firmly as an anchor for this movement. Your prayers, unalloyed loyalty, and sacrifices are safely etched in my heart; they will never be taken for granted.

Let it be known that this is not the end of a journey, but a critical chapter in our shared struggle for truth, justice, and quality representation. Our vision for the good people of Irewole/Ayedaade/Isokan federal constituency remains unshakeable. We stand tall, we stand together, and we look to the future with absolute hope.

Thank you for your steadfast support and unwavering faith.

May God bless you all.
