A widow has sought the intervention of Brekete Family after allegedly discovering that her late husband’s friend had taken possession of a parcel of land belonging to her husband and commenced development on the property following his death.
The woman, who appeared on the programme to seek assistance in recovering the property, reportedly told the platform that the land had remained in her late husband’s possession during his lifetime.
According to the account presented during the case, the deceased had previously been approached by his friend, who expressed interest in purchasing the property. However, the husband reportedly rejected the offer because he considered the proposed amount insufficient.
The matter allegedly took a different turn after the husband died.
According to the widow’s account, the same friend later allegedly took possession of the land and began construction activities on the property.
The development reportedly raised concerns for the widow, who maintained that the land belonged to her late husband and that she had not authorised the alleged transfer or construction.
