Bauchi State has been thrown into mourning following the death of Alhaji Ibrahim Ladan Duguri, Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Health Contributory Management Agency (BASHCMA), in a fatal road accident that also claimed the lives of four of his children.
The crash occurred in the late evening of Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Yalwan Duguri in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State. According to a statement issued by the Bauchi State Government, Duguri and four of his children, identified as Hajara, Usman, Rukayya and Maryam, died in the incident.
