.....APC Candidate Promises Youth Empowerment, Educational Support, Women Development and Quality Representation
As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, Hon. Abdullahi Olaiya Ayodeji, popularly known as AYONIC, has formally declared his ambition to represent Osogbo State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a passionate message addressed to the people of Osogbo, AYONIC described his aspiration as a commitment to genuine representation, community development and improved opportunities for residents, particularly youths, women and students.
Introducing himself as a son of the soil who was born and raised in Osogbo, the APC aspirant said his decision to join the legislative race was driven by his concern for the challenges confronting his people rather than a desire for political power or personal recognition.
According to him, unemployment among youths, financial difficulties confronting market women, educational challenges faced by students and the persistent demand for better roads, electricity and clean water informed his decision to seek elective office.
He specifically mentioned communities and areas such as Oke-Baale, Isale-Osun, Jaleyemi and Alekuwodo, noting that many young people in these areas needed better employment opportunities and access to economic empowerment.
OUTLINES FIVE-POINT DEVELOPMENT AGENDA
AYONIC outlined a five-point agenda which he said would guide his representation if elected into the Osun State House of Assembly.
On youth empowerment, he pledged to advocate for employment opportunities, vocational training, skills acquisition programmes and access to soft loans to enable young people become economically independent.
On education, he promised to champion initiatives such as free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration, bursary schemes and scholarship opportunities for deserving students.
He also assured market women and other female entrepreneurs of his commitment to advocating policies and programmes that would improve their economic conditions.
On infrastructure, the aspirant promised to use his position in the legislature to attract development projects and advocate improved roads, electricity, clean water and other essential amenities across Osogbo.
He further pledged to operate an open-door representation system, assuring constituents that his office would remain accessible and responsive to their needs, even after the election.
Appealing to residents, political stakeholders, party faithful and community leaders, AYONIC emphasised that achieving his political ambition would require collective support.
He called on the people to support his aspiration through prayers, mobilisation, advocacy and participation in the APC primary election and the subsequent general election.
The aspirant also highlighted his youthful energy, philanthropic disposition and longstanding connection with the community as qualities he intends to bring into public service.
Reaffirming his commitment to the development of Osogbo, he maintained that the progress of the constituency should remain a collective responsibility, stressing that improved living conditions would benefit everyone.
"Osogbo is our home. If Osogbo is good, it is good for all of us. Let us build it together," he declared.
AYONIC's declaration adds to the political conversations ahead of the 2027 Osun State House of Assembly election, as political stakeholders and aspirants begin positioning themselves for the contest.
He is seeking the APC ticket to represent Osogbo State Constituency in the forthcoming legislative election.
