Osun Ex-Commissioner, Olaonipekun Identify With Heavy Rainfall Evacuees



The immediate past Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Empowerment, in Osun State, Dr. Bode Olaonipekun has sympatised with people that are affected with the heavy downpour which affect properties worth millions of naira that happened at the ancient town of Igbajo.


In response to media inquiries, the former commissioner, said it is disheartening that such havoc happened during this period when the economy of the state is not friendly despite humongous amount being shared to the state through federal allocations.


Dr. Bode Olaonipekun, implored the Osun State Emergency Management Agency(OSEMA)and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), to swiftly give attention to victims of the disaster in order to alleviate their burden at this critical time of need.


In his usual philanthropic gesture, the former Commissioner gave cash gifts to some of the evacuees, to cushion the effect of the disaster and to overcome the crisis brought about by the displacement.



Places visited by the Ex-Commissioner and his team includes the town hall, ogbon iloro, ogbon oke oja and other private residences affected.
