Eid-el-Kabir: Former Osun Council Chairman, Kaseem Gasali Owolabi congratulates Muslims Faithful

 

The former Olorunda North LCDA Ota-Efun, Osogbo Hon. Kaseem Gasali Owolabi has congratulates the Muslim brethren in the world on the celebration of the 2024 Eid-el-Adha festivities.

He also greets the Ataoja of Osogbo HRM Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun (Larooye II), Chief Imam of Osogbo, Alhaji Animasahun, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, APC National Secretary, Sen. Dr. Ajibola Basiru, All APC Leaders in Osogbo and Olorunda including the members for witnessing this year Eid-ul-Adha celebration.

This was contained in a congratulatory statement made available to the newsmen in Osogbo on Saturday, describing Eid-el-Adha as an important occasion in Islam which among many others demonstrated Allah's benevolence and love for mankind.

According to him, "The Eid-el-Adha is held to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah (SWT) and his readiness to sacrifice his son, Ismail. At the very point of sacrifice, Allah (SWT) replaced Ismail with a ram, which was slaughtered in place of his son. This command from Allah (SWT) was a test of Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness and commitment to obey his Lord’s command, without question. Therefore, Eidel-Kabirr means the festival of sacrifice.

"On this special occasion, I pray that the sacrifices of the Muslims be handsomely rewarded by Allah (SWT). May the spirit's lot of sacrifice, cordial neighbourliness, and selflessness be our guide as we celebrate this Sallah.
