Akol Blasts Udume for 'Paranoid' Statements on Tinubu
Dr. Siji Olamiju (AKOL) the Osun Ex.Cabinet member in charge of Public Health, has criticized Senate Chief Whip, Sen. Alli Udume, for his "oblivious and reckless" comments on hunger, made just five days after President Tinubu's directive on tariff and tax holidays for food imports. The directive aimed to make food more abundant, available, and affordable for the masses and was widely commended by Nigerians.
Olamiju accused Udume of being "completely unaware" of current events, even in the Senate where he serves. He highlighted the current administration's efforts in food security, including agricultural incentives, funding, and security measures for farmers. Olamiju found it "bizarre" that a distinguished senator like Udume could make such misinformed comments.
He advised Udume to engage constructively with President Tinubu instead of pursuing "ignorant witch-hunts," which could tarnish the reputation of the Senate under the leadership of Senate President Godswill Akpabio
