Osun: OPC Visit Amotekun Commander, Omoyele ...seeks collaboration with Amotekun to combat crime in the State.


The Odua People Congress Osun State Chapter under the leadership of Mr. Aboderin Emmanuel today paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele in the Amotekun Headquarters Osogbo, as he seeks for synergy with Osun Amotekun to combat crime in the state.


In his opening remarks, the Osun OPC Coordinator, Mr. Aboderin Emmanuel congratulated Dr. Adekunle Omoyele on his appointment as the Corps Commander of the state security outfit, he described Omoyele's appointment as a round peg in a round hole and a well-deserved one.  



He seeks the collaboration of Osun Amotekun with the Oodua People Congress in curbing crime in the state and preventing criminals from entering the state.


He invited the Corps Commander to the forthcoming Osun Osogbo Festival that will be held in August 2024 and seeks synergy to protect the lives and property of the people coming from far and near to participate in the world-recognized festival.


Aboderin also delivered a goodwill message from the National Coordinator of the group Iba Gani Adams to the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr. Adekunle Omoyele, he applauds Omoyele for serving the country meritorious in the Nigeria police for 35 years without any blemish which encouraged the Osun State Governor Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke to appoint him as the Special Adviser on Internal Security and as the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps. He wishes him success in the new assignment.


In his response, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele commended the group for the visit and assured his support and collaboration with all security agencies in the state.


Omoyele asserted that Amotekun is ready to collaborate with other security agencies as directed by the governor of the state Senator Asiwaju Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke to combat criminal activities and flush out criminals in the state.


Omoyele reiterated the commitment and dedication of Governor Ademola Adeleke to secure the lives and properties of residents of the state through synergy with all the security agencies.
