APC Diaspora Leadership Condemns Baseless Claims by Unverified Group, Reaffirms Support for National Secretary Senator Dr. Ajibola Basiru

In light of a recent publication by an unverified entity claiming to be "Atlanta Progressives USA" and a so-called "Dr. Titi Balogun," the All-Progressives Congress (APC) Diaspora Leadership unequivocally condemns these baseless and fraudulent allegations. The publication, which seeks to discredit the integrity of Senator Dr. Ajibola Basiru, National Secretary of the APC, is false, malicious, and unworthy of serious consideration.

The APC wishes to categorically state that Senator Dr. Ajibola Basiru is not affiliated with any fictitious organization such as "Atlanta Progressives." Furthermore, "Atlanta Progressives USA" is not recognized by the APC or its legitimate support groups. APC USA Chapter remains the sole authorized APC chapter in the United States, fully recognized by the APC National Working Committee (NWC).

The attempt to malign Senator Dr. Ajibola Basiru—a distinguished scholar and leader of repute—represents an affront not only to his person but also to the principles of integrity and excellence upheld by the APC. These defamatory claims reflect a deliberate effort by morally compromised individuals to tarnish the reputation of the party’s leadership.

Evidence suggests that this publication is the work of individuals who have consistently sought to undermine the APC Diaspora structure for personal gain. Their actions, which include disseminating fake news, parading counterfeit titles, and exploiting unsuspecting individuals, have no place in our organization. The APC Diaspora Chapters, operating in 18 countries, remain united in their support for the NWC, the National Chairman, Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje, and the National Secretary, Senator Dr. Ajibola Basiru.

Hon Tunde Doherty, Chairman of the APC Committee of Diaspora Chairmen and the General Secretary of the APC CDC Amb. Prince Stephen Tella issues a firm warning that any further defamatory or malicious statements against our leaders will be addressed with decisive legal action. The APC will not tolerate attempts to destabilize its ranks or undermine the credibility of its leadership.

The APC remains committed to its mission of fostering unity, integrity, and progress both within Nigeria and among its Diaspora chapters. We call on the public to disregard the spurious claims made by this unverified group and recognize their actions for what they are—desperate attempts to derail the progress of a party built on service and accountability.
