Urgent Appeal for Intervention in Critical Federal Roads in Ifeland

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,

The President,

Federal Republic of Nigeria

08th April, 2024.

Dear Mr. President,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to urgently draw your attention to the dire

state of federal roads in Ifeland, particularly in the ancient town of Ile Ife.

The condition of several major federal roads in Ifeland has reached a critical point, posing significant risks to the safety of motorists and pedestrians alike. Routes such as the Mayfair roundabout - Iremo - Ilesha road, the Urban Day - Modakeke - Ondo road, and the Lagere - Olode - Ondo boundary road are particularly affected, becoming perilous thoroughfares that demand immediate intervention.

The deteriorating state of these roads has already resulted in numerous accidents and near-fatal incidents, inflicting a heavy toll on the residents of Ifeland. As a town with historical significance and a key contributor to the economy of Osun State and Nigeria,

Ile Ife deserves infrastructure that supports its growth and development.

Therefore, I earnestly appeal to you, Mr. President, to take swift and decisive action in addressing the critical condition of these federal roads.

Your intervention is crucial in safeguarding the lives and livelihoods of the people of Ifeland and ensuring the continued prosperity of the region. We place our trust in your leadership and steadfast dedication to the welfare of all Nigerians.

We are hopeful that you will prioritize this matter and expedite the necessary measures to rehabilitate and upgrade these essential transportation routes.

Thank you for your attention to this urgent appeal.

Sincerely,

Salam Mustapha Olamilekan,

Writes From The Cradle of Yoruba, Unit 001, Ward 5 Ife East LG.
