The coronation ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 24th May 2025, at Aje Market, Ido-Osun.

To spiritually dedicate the event, an interfaith prayer session was held, bringing together Christian, Muslim, and Traditionalist leaders to commit the day to God. The Chief Imam of Ido-Osun delivered a sermon congratulating the monarch on his ascension, describing him as a divinely chosen leader. He praised the visible developments since Oba Jokola II’s reign began and referred to the king as Hayatullah, meaning “God’s sign of life” in the Quran. He prayed for continued peace, unity, and prosperity in the town.

In the Christian message, Rev. Akindunmila also congratulated the Kabiyesi, commending his passion for the town’s progress and asking God to grant him greater wisdom and success. The Traditionalist representative lauded the Oba for transforming the palace into a welcoming and beautiful landmark, praying for sustained growth under his rule.

HRM Oba Olayinka Oyetunde Ishola Jokola II expressed his gratitude to the kingmakers, royal compounds, chiefs, elders, and security agencies for their unwavering support. He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting Ido-Osun globally, while preserving its rich culture and traditions for unity and development.

The interfaith gathering also featured the attendance of a representative from Brazil, who formally invited the Alayemore to visit their country a gesture symbolizing growing international recognition of Ido-Osun.

Adding to the festive spirit, the final match of a novelty football competition was held at Ido-Osun Grammar School between the Welder Football Club and Tailor Football Club. Tailor FC emerged victorious with a narrow 1-0 win.

Gala and Award Night was hosted at Nike Art Gallery in Ido-Osun on Thursday Night. The event honored distinguished individuals who have contributed significantly to the town’s growth and development, bringing together notable members of the community in a night of reflection, recognition, and cultural pride.
