APC Nat'l Sec Visits King FM Osogbo, Commends Founder On Vision, Commitment To Excellence

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator (Dr.) Ajibola Basiru has commended the founder of King 87.9FM Osogbo, Barr. Abimbola Amusan, for his vision and commitment to excellence.

During a visit to the new radio station on the Osogbo/Iragbiji expressway over the weekend, Basiru saluted Amusan for his dexterity and courage to pursue selfless vision geared towards uplifting humanity. 

He expressed confidence that the new station will uphold the tenets of professionalism and public interest, which Barr. Amusan has shown in his years of entrepreneurship and legal practice.

Dr. Basiru said, "During a recent visit to King 87.9 FM, I had the privilege of meeting Barrister Abimbola Amusan (AA), a highly respected lawyer who honed his skills at Ajibola Basiru & Co., a reputable law firm renowned for its exceptional standards and renowned for its proficiency in handling complex legal matters, and of which I am proud to lead. Barr. Amusan was one of the standout employees of this prestigious firm.

"Barrister Amusan previously practiced law before pursuing advanced studies in the United States. On his return to the country, he has continued to contribute his expertise to the development of Osun State and Nigeria as a whole.

"As an accomplished individual from Osun State whose achievements inspire many young people, he serves as the Chief Operating Officer of a global Financial Technology Company, Vesti, and is also a distinguished media entrepreneur. I believe King 87.9 FM will positively impact the community.

"The station aims to foster growth in Osun State’s communication and entertainment sectors by using modern equipment to enlighten, inform, and educate audiences globally.

"King 87.9 FM located on the Osogbo-Iragbiji expressway, is well-positioned to emerge as a prominent reference station with diverse listening and viewing options. I am more than convinced that it will succeed," the APC National Secretary stressed.

Thanking his boss for the visit, Barr. Amusan noted that King 87.9 FM will begin full transmission in August 2025.

He pledged that the station will put the people first as its core principle, promising to air programmes that will further uplift humanity.
