In a tragic incident in Pakistan’s Punjab province, a man is accused of fatally shooting his daughter after a dispute over her continued use of the social media platform TikTok, police reported on Wednesday.
The event took place in Dhok Choudrian Takht Pari, located in the Rawalpindi district. Authorities state that the father had repeatedly demanded that his daughter delete her TikTok account. When she refused, he allegedly shot her.
Following the incident, the suspect reportedly fled the scene. Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) and launched a search operation to apprehend him.
Early accounts indicate that the family initially attempted to portray the death as a suicide. However, forensic evidence from the scene contradicted this claim and suggested foul play.
The victim's body has been sent for autopsy, and the investigation remains ongoing.
