As the forthcoming governorship elections in Osun continues to gather momentum, the guber aspirations of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) today received a major boost as leaders and enthusiastic party faithfuls in Boluwaduro Local Government pledged their support for the ex-finance commissioner, just as the AMBO Grassrooters, an independent support group consisting of past and present local government chairmen from 2017 till date took their consultation  tour to the local government.


It would be recalled that the AMBO Grassrooters led by a former chairman, Ede South Local g Government, Elder Deji Agboola, had previously visited Ila, Boripe, Odo-Otin, Egbedore, Ifedayo, Ede North, Ede South, Ejigbo, Irewole, Isokan, Ife North, Oriade, Ilesa East, Ilesa West, Atakumosa East, Atakumosa West, Orolu, Irepodun and Olorunda local governments, canvassing and mobilizing grassroot support for the Ikire-Born seasoned banker cum politician.


Speaking on behalf of the group, Hon. Hakeem Tokede, former chairman, Boluwaduro Local Government assured the wards and unit campaign coordinators of Oyebamiji's unalloyed support just as he revealed that the group's conviction in Oyebamiji's aspirations stems from their firm believe in his capacity, competence, financial intelligence and his well thought out developmental agenda for the state. He noted that Oyebamiji is a promise keeper who would ensure adequate reward system for leaders and loyal members of the party, reiterating AMBO's welfarist agenda for Osun citizens and members of the party.


In the same vein, Hon. Samson Awodiji and Rev. Oye Adebayo in their short remarks, urged the newly inaugurated canvassers to take up the task of Door-To-Door mobilization tasking them to visit every nook and cranny of the local government as well as every household in their bid to solicit support for AMBO. They stated that Boluwaduro remains pivotal to the success of the AMBO project considering it's array of leaders who have queued behind the frontline aspirant.


They assured party faithfuls of a rewarding future and a more prosperous Osun that would be beneficial to all with the candidacy of AMBO, revealing that the frontline aspirant understands the economy of Osun being a two-term former commissioner for finance and a seasoned financial expert of repute. 


The newly inaugurated  canvassers pledged their unwavering commitment to the aspirations of AMBO promising to give their best in mobilizing grassroot support for Oyebamiji before the party primaries and after the leading aspirant might have emerged as the APC flagbearer for the August 8th, 2026 elections.


The team which had earlier met with the leaders of the party in Boluwaduro extolled the leadership qualities of Oyebamiji just as Hon. Femi Popoola, a former deputy speaker of the Osun House of Assembly and incumbent House of Assembly member representing Boripe/Boluwaduro State Constituency in OSHA and Alhaji Bayo Oyekanmi, Chairman Boluwaduro LG assured of the unflinching support of leaders and party faithfuls in the local government ahead next year's governorship elections. They gave assurances of victory for AMBO in the local government during the primaries and the elections proper.


In the same light, Hon.   Bayo Oyekanmi assured of his loyalty to the AMBO project giving assurances of collaborating with his counterpart at the LCDA to deliver the local government for AMBO.
