In a significant recognition of his leadership prowess and commitment to the growth of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Ajani Ghaffar Ayodeji, popularly known as GHAFF UNITY has been honoured with the Young Leader of the Year Award by the All APC Women Support Group, South West, Nigeria. This prestigious award, which was held today at the famous Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, acknowledges GHAFF Unity's relentless effort to champion the cause of young people within the APC and the larger society just as it also recognizes his impactful contributions to the development of the All Progressives Congress in Ede Land, Osun State and the South West at large.
As a chieftain of the APC in Ede North Local Government, Ghaff Unity has been instrumental in mobilizing support for the party at all levels, providing timely and impactful support which has boosted the fortunes of party members and reawakened the confidence of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ede Land and Osun State.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Oyenike Saulawa, Chairperson of the association, revealed that Ghaffar's influence resonates both politically and humanely, characterizing his commitment towards enhancing women's development through empowerment which brings about economic prosperity for the womenfolk in politics. She noted that Ghaffar's contributions have given rise to a new found hope for the women in the society most especially within the All Progressives Congress just as his gestures mirror the essence of the prestigious award bestowed upon him.
Receiving the award, Ghaffar thanked the group for finding him worthy of the recognition noting that the award would spur him to do more for women and the party at all levels.
"I want to sincerely thank the leadership of the All APC Women's Support Group (AAWSG) for this prestigious recognition today, the award is a testament that our little efforts at making a difference and bringing change to our community is being felt and recognized. I am elated and glad to receive this award here today and I make bold to say that this award would spur us to do more for our people, youths, women, children, aged and the less privileged would not be left out of our developmental programmes. We will also contribute more to ensure that our party reclaims Osun in 2026".
Other notable awardees include, APC frontline governorship aspirant, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) Sooko Tajudeen Lawal Olaniyi, Osun APC Chairman, Her Excellency, Kafayat Oyetola, wife of the minister for Marine and Blue Economy, General Adewimbi, former Corps Commander, Osun Amotekun, Otunba Titi-Laoye Ponle, former deputy governor of Osun, Rt. Honourable Foluke Etteh, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaja Kudirat Fakokunde, Osun APC Women Leader amongst others.
APC Leaders from Ede, including Dr. Mufutaudeen Oyewale "Royal", APC Ede North Apex Leader, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Adesina Alabi, APC Chairman, Ede North, Alhaji Oluogun Kazeem, Ede South APC Chairman and the Osun State APC Youth Leader, Alhaji Akinwemimo Olagoke attended the colourful event, honouring Hon. Ghaffar Ajani Ayodeji.
