Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi OFR, representing Osun East Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries, has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), the Ooni of Ife, and all sons and daughters of Ile-Ife on the occasion of this year’s Olojo Festival.
In a statement issued by his Head of Media and Public Enlightenment, Mr. Omole Oluwasegun, the Ilase-Ijesa-born lawmaker expressed joy in celebrating this significant cultural event with the people of Ife both at home and in the diaspora.
Senator Fadahunsi described the Olojo Festival as more than just a cultural celebration, emphasizing it as a powerful affirmation of identity, unity, and the rich heritage of Ile-Ife—the cradle of Yoruba civilization. He noted that the festival symbolizes thanksgiving, renewal, and the enduring connection to their history and shared destiny.
He applauded the Ooni of Ife for his unwavering dedication to preserving Yoruba traditions, promoting peace, and advancing development within Ife and the broader Yorubaland. The Senator highlighted that the Ooni’s leadership continues to inspire cultural pride and bring global recognition to their heritage.
As the festival unfolds, Senator Fadahunsi called on all Ife sons and daughters to remain law-abiding and uphold the values of peace, unity, and progress. He prayed that the festival brings prosperity, harmony, and divine blessings to Ile-Ife, Yoruba land, Osun State, and beyond.
He also prayed for God’s guidance and protection during and after the celebrations, expressing gratitude for the festival’s role in uplifting Yoruba traditions. Finally, Senator Fadahunsi wished His Imperial Majesty a long and successful reign on the throne of his ancestors
