In a moving reflection that has touched many hearts, Bimbo shared how her father became her entire world after her parents separated when she was just two years old.
Growing up without her mother, who left shortly after the separation, Bimbo was raised solely by her father – a man who not only took on the role of provider and protector, but also nurtured, supported, and loved her with unwavering dedication.
“My Dad became both mother and father. He would carry me to school, cook for me, plait my hair – he did everything,” Bimbo said. “There was nothing he wouldn’t do to make sure I didn’t feel the absence of a mother.”

“I cried because I didn’t have a mum there. But my Dad wiped my tears and said, ‘Don’t worry, I will be your mummy too.’
