Asiwaju Khamis Tunde Badmus Central Mosque Set For Grand Unveiling On Friday, May 8, 2026


All arrangements have been concluded for the official unveiling and commissioning of the magnificent Asiwaju Khamis Tunde Badmus Central Mosque, located in Dagbolu, Osogbo, scheduled to hold tomorrow, Friday, May 8, 2026.

The highly anticipated event is expected to attract eminent personalities, Islamic scholars, traditional rulers, political leaders, community stakeholders, and worshippers from across Nigeria and beyond, in what promises to be a historic and spiritually significant occasion for the people of Osogbo and the entire Muslim Ummah.

The newly completed central mosque, built with modern architectural design and equipped with a large worship capacity, stands as a symbol of faith, unity, community development, and commitment to the propagation of Islam. The mosque is expected to serve as a major religious centre for daily prayers, Jumat services, Islamic teachings, and other spiritual activities within the community.

The official unveiling will be performed by the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, His Eminence Sultan Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, whose presence underscores the importance of the project and its contribution to Islamic development in Nigeria.



According to the organisers, the event will witness the attendance of dignitaries from all walks of life, including government officials, captains of industry, clerics, business leaders, youth groups, women associations, and residents from within and outside Osun State.

Speaking ahead of the commissioning, members of the organising committee described the mosque as a legacy project aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence, spiritual growth, and community advancement. The grand unveiling ceremony is expected to commence with special prayers, Quranic recitations, goodwill messages, and the official commissioning of the mosque.
