Former Member of the Osun State House of Assembly representing Osogbo State Constituency, Hon. Engr. Badamsi Olatunde Taofeek Abolubode, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Ajibola Basiru, following the passing of his beloved mother, Alhaja Sidikatu Basiru Suuru, who passed away on Saturday night.
In a condolence message made available to the press, Hon. Abolubode described the late matriarch as a compassionate, caring, and selfless woman whose life was devoted to the wellbeing of her family and the people around her. He noted that Mama Sidikatu was widely admired for her motherly virtues, generosity, and unwavering commitment to the values of love, unity, and service.
According to him, the demise of Alhaja Sidikatu Basiru Suuru is not only a great loss to the Basiru family but also to the larger Osun community, where she was respected for her humility, kindness, and exemplary character.
"On behalf of my family, friends, political associates, and supporters, I extend my deepest sympathies to our revered leader, Dr. Ajibola Basiru, and the entire Basiru family over this painful and irreparable loss. Losing a mother is one of life's greatest sorrows, but we take solace in the impactful and fulfilled life she lived," he said.
Hon. Abolubode prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the shortcomings of the deceased, grants her eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and gives Dr. Ajibola Basiru, his family, and loved ones the strength, patience, and fortitude to bear this great loss.
He further urged the bereaved family to find comfort in the remarkable legacy of love, integrity, and compassion that the late Alhaja Sidikatu Basiru Suuru left behind, noting that her good deeds and positive impact on humanity will continue to be remembered for generations.
