The Otun Babaloja of Sasa Market, Osogbo, and the representative of the Ataoja of Osogboland in all markets across Osogbo, Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1448 AH.
In a goodwill message made available to journalists, Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe described the Hijrah celebration as a significant period in the Islamic faith, symbolizing sacrifice, perseverance, faith, and unwavering commitment to the will of Almighty Allah.
He urged Muslims to reflect on the lessons of the migration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah, emphasizing that the historic event teaches believers the values of patience, unity, selflessness, peace, and dedication to righteous living.
According to him, the commencement of a new Islamic year presents an opportunity for Muslims to renew their faith, strengthen their relationship with Allah, and recommit themselves to the promotion of peace, love, and harmony within their communities.
Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe also called on residents of Osogbo, traders, market leaders, and members of the public to continue supporting initiatives that foster peaceful coexistence, economic growth, and communal development across Osogboland.
He prayed that the new Hijrah year would usher in abundant blessings, divine guidance, prosperity, and good health for all Muslims and Nigerians at large. He further expressed hope that the nation would experience greater unity, security, and progress in the coming year.
"On behalf of my family, associates, and the entire trading community under my leadership, I congratulate all Muslim faithful on the celebration of the Islamic New Year. May Allah grant us the grace to witness many more years in peace, prosperity, and happiness," he stated.
Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe wished all Muslims a happy and rewarding Hijrah celebration and encouraged them to continue upholding the teachings and values of Islam for the betterment of society.
